The artwork is very inconsistent. Many people didn't bother returning to the anime after Shippuden started, mainly because of the former inconsistency. I am one of them.

Nobody needs distorted pictures in anime. Ruins the whole point of watching it. JUMP works all artists to the death, so most animes turn out bad. Short ones like Death Note work out pretty well, but not many JUMP mangas end so quickly anyway.

Well, you're right. Many short animes are good, but then people complains like "why they couldn't do anymore episodes?" Everyone still likes to watch more and more, if they like that anime, and it works for them.

Gundam Wing is my personal favorite so far but other than that I'd have to go with: Full Metal Alchemist, Negima! (manga), Rozen Maiden, One Piece (not the 4kids awfulness), and Gundam 00.

The main rule in creating a new anime is that the central plot must be ****ed up in some strange meth-inspired way.

The only good anime is Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Naruto is epic fail, literally the worst anime in the history of the world.

What a horribly ignorant post. Anime isn't a plot, it has no subject. It is just a genre. Anything that can be said about the plot of anime is the same for any tv series or movie. There are horrible animes like there is horrible of any genre of style of animation. Naruto is not the worst anime though. I hate naruto, but i have seen way worse.

Horror - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2nd season is worse though.)

Naw, the 2nd season is much more rewarding than the first. I'm not done (18/24) so don't break me in half.

My favorites now : Lucky Star (the OVA was OK, but boring at some parts, Higurashi, Elfen Lied, Serial Experiments Lain (I need to finish this one, still it's great.), 5 cm per seconds.

I can't think of many other I really liked. so... ya =)

Hametsu no Mars is the best anime.

Closely followed by Hanoka and Cosprayers.

Of course, there are many other beautiful masterpieces out there, like Lovedol and Soul Link.

But if you're more of an oldschool kinda guy... Classics of yesteryear include MD Geist and Crystal Triangle.

FLCL and Gurren Lagaan are my personal favorites. I also enjoy One Piece but I don't know if that's complete. And I suppose if I get nostalgic I enjoy DBZ.

my favorite animes are full metal alchemist, flcl, death note, and bleach. i don't really have a favorite genre, since i don't watch much anime (don't have the time)
