    No, trials do not have netplay, nor can you install CowCaster to play online on them. You must have the full version.

          Fourth'd, but anyhow, instead of postwhoring, let us actively search for participants. =) We need at least 16 for an ideal tournament.

          Also, I need to at least be able to beat Lunatic... before I talk of vsing other people.

            Lunatic is worthless on IaMP. I get torn to shreds by pros, but I can decimate Lunatic AI without breaking a sweat.

            As for your question - I won't play SWR because of the complete change of key layout (AB specials to BC), conditionals and combos being far too easy to pull off (since most just require 5A/A/A/A/A mash before throwing in a special move or spellcard). That, and very few loops exist - that's no fun, hah!

            Weather mechanics in SWR are broken, flying in a fighting game just doesn't seem practical, IMO. Guilty Gear and IaMP's airdashing are cool, but flying isn't.

              Hey Midday, there is a no weather hack patch. It still shows the weather, but no effects.

              Let me look for it...

                  I can't even decimate Lunatic AI, hence I have to be able to decimate a Lunatic AI before I can even think of fighting real people. See what I mean, Frozen Beat?

                  As for SWR, I started SWR before I did IaMP, and I haven't done IaMP completely yet, so I can't say much... I guess SWR can be like an easy version of IaMP then. Good for people who aren't naturally decent at one-on-one fighting games.

                      I won't argue that SWR is better than IaMP (it isn't), but it's really not that bad. 5AAAA is a terrible combo for all characters except Marisa and Suika. All the other characters can do something much more damaging off a 5A, particularly Tenshi. Lol 3,300 damage combo, a HELL of a lot more than anyone else's midscreen combos off 5A. Won't argue on weather mechanics, but I love the flying, it just needs to be toned down slightly so that you can't fly for so long and the ceiling needs to be MUCH lower.
                      And yes, there really does need to be more oki. 5A on wakeup is pretty disgusting, and several characters have no other choices.

                        I believe that the 3 directions in which one can wake up (or 2 in a corner) is enough to avoid a 5A combo. Characters vary in their ability to wake up (Alice having the best distance difference). I thought that was intentional.

                          I wasn't saying that it was remotely hard to avoid, just that it's stupid that's actually a good oki strategy with some characters.

                              Alice's okizeme game got completely raped in SWR. The spacing and angling of all her moves are really awkward (correlating to the high ceiling problem you pointed out), and the fact her 236s require you to 22C after in order to activate them makes them much more useless than IaMP.

                              But it's not just Alice. Fewer characters have decent oki capabilities, and though not by any means am I saying that this is the only way to play or generalizing, but yes, it's true: assuming the opponent doesn't groundtech on wakeup, sometimes just mashing 5A into their face can work better than trying to throw out cover fire for a rush. And since 5A can cancel and chain into pretty much anything, well; what can you do?

                              I haven't really got into SWR; I tried. Just didn't like it, at all. Are there any corner pressure strings anymore? Since the spirit gauge works differently, bombs are cards and only d-bombs, and proration got jacked the **** up, I don't see how it'd work, if at all.

                                This thread needs more attention if we're going to set a tournament. Bump it as many times as possible.

                                Someone get amazing IaMP screenshots that I cannot forge. =)

                                Alice's 236C doesn't require 22C to activate. 22C is an optional addition to any C or B move that causes a doll to stay in position (max 2, unless if it's snowing). 236C activates on it's own, or is a boomerang depending on what you equip. 22C can be a homing laser, tripwire, or a stationary 236C depending on what you equip.
