This is 500% true. You form habitual mental blocks, which can affect other songs with the same stepchart. The best thing to do is to play at least 3 completely diverse stepcharts in varied orders for a prolonged period of time. For me, about 24hours is more than enough to get a decent sdg on a song I need for a tournament, provided it's FMO or lower.

Basically for Tier2 and higher only? Well you'll need a prize pot of at least 100,000 if you're going to get any participants.

I love how now that the 1st round is over...I was just finally able to get the sdg on the song lol. I just wish I could do it with this one now. And yeah in regards to what someone said earlier...the more you play a song..the more you tend to mess up. I've noticed it a lot with trying to AAA also. Some songs I have to just leave alone after a while. The next day I try it...I usually do better right off the bat.
