If that is what you think then think what you will. My main reason was for the sole purpose of seeing what everyone thought of or thinks of hackers. Sadly all you have seen it for what it is in a bad way. I have seen it in a totally different way, which is something I must say makes me sad to see. I have said what I have needed to say. I am not in anyway a hacker. In fact I mean nothing more then to accept them for what they are. You don't seem to want to do that.

And yes most people who even try to hack this site just aren't hackers anyways. They merely (as you have said) script kiddie there way into this. I must add that people do try and sadly learn the hard way.

No, I don't see it in a bad way.

You don't even know what a "hacker" is. Originally, being a hacker was a good thing. You didn't actually do anything wrong with any computer systems. Not only was hacking not a bad thing, there were even associations of hackers and hackers within companies. They were basically what we'd call network administrators today.

Then Crackers came out. What most people see as "Hackers" were actually "Crackers". But they used the word "Hacker" for themselves and ruined the etymology. That's why nowadays "Hacker" is negative. Despite the fact that we have positive and negative hackers, the word itself insinuates acts of misdeed.

I don't really see where you're going with this. Everyone knows about white hats, black hats, grey hats, etc. already.

I admire hackers who use their abilities for good. If you're simply looking for opinions, just say that. It's cool with us. But, if you're trying to do something subliminal like get someone to say something that would slip up a loop-hole, don't.

Oh, and I do not only see it in a bad way.

I am in no way implying I am a hacker. In fact I am here so that people can understand the difference between the "Hacker" and someone who just wants to fool around with different things and find ways around some stupid site. I mean I can't lie, I have tried. I have done it before but I never hurt it. In fact I didn't like something about it so I edited something so small that they never noticed it. I mean sometimes people just don't like something and they just want to change it. Obviously that site never noticed until I told them that "Ya I edited this and this". They did not get me in trouble though. Thats my story for you. Now tell me, was I doing something bad? I mean I edited something that was useless. Its not bad unless you crash it or delete it. Even if don't think that I am a hacker for just that reason Alone. I don't do that anymore I am just a normal person playing a normal online-game. I hope you at least understand that much. Might I also add that I can't seem to stress this enough that Hackers are good people as well! Tell them they "Suck" and that they deserve to "Die" is like a threat. So please, don't do that anymore its not going to help anyone. Thank you.

You reap what you sow.

For hacking, you get the common side-effect of various taunts against you as a person. You're obviously a hacker in the eyes of most if not all of FFR. Izzy asked whether you were implying that you were a good hacker or not. You're already a hacker. And it was obviously detrimental to FFR. Even if you changed as you say, you have to pay the consequences for hacking in the first place.

I never did because it was too small to care about. Besides that my logic is different anyways. I wouldn't call me a hacker though because I did tell them up front that I did it. If I didn't you could call that hacking. Might I add not everyone knows about me on FFR anyways. You can't speak for sadly everyone Midday. You need to understand that there is over 1 mil people on this. I doubt half aka 500 000 people know or even 1 000 000 people know about me and being a "hacker". I could go on but I think I have said enough. Its still not going to go away, this way that I am, I will make sure that everyone understands that Hackers are more then what they appear to be. Its just human nature that you think of them this way. At least think of them in a good way. Think of the good things that they do, think of the bad things when it happens to you or anyone else, then you can say that hackers are bad. But you can't just go saying it until you have a reason.

just to clarify for you guys, people don't hack FFR. they download a program someone much smarter than them made and then it does the rest.

To be honest I really think that this whole thread is pointless and its not going anywhere. Your just getting your self into an arguement that your going to lose. If you hacked somthing, just accept that you screwed up. You don't need to make a thread asking people their opinions.

I used to hack the Pinball game that comes with Windows XP just to show my friends and get a laugh out of it. That said, not all hackers do things as harmless as that.

I know that much, I mean some hackers are sometimes stupid. Others just.... Try to help. Just saying stuff mean about them is just..... Stereotypical and just as mean as if they hacked you. But ya know, what do I know right? Im a hacker your going to think this is just cuz I am that way, it is and its also because some people don't understand how some hackers feel about being told this in their face. Its like a slap in the bloody face. Anyways do what ya want with this thread. I just can't seem to get it through to people. Ill have to try other means... Ah well.

This is kind of like saying, "<insert random ethnic group here>, are they with us, or against us?" Obviously, not every hacker is trying to hurt you, and they certainly aren't all trying to help you. What a strange question to ask anyway....
