    Yeah. Any kind, you lucky SoB. I really dont understand why its ONLY O- blood that is the universal donor.

    Nvm. I just asked my mom, a ER doctor at our local hospital, and according to her, Negative RF blood can be given to positives, but you cant give positives to negatives. In simple terms, if patient A had A- blood, and patient B had A+ blood, patient B could receive patient A's blood, but not vice-versa... f**king science. *shrug*

            I heard that O- can only receive O- blood.

            Which is a bit unfair considering I can give my blood to anyone else.

            It doesn't seem like a fair exchange.

                O- can give blood to any other blood types but can only receive blood from O-.

                Just do a quick google search about blood typing (ABO) and Rh factor (+ or -) if you have any questions.

                    Yeah the O- people are screwed. A machine has been developed, though, that strips off the surface proteins and converts any type of blood to O-, but it still needs a lot of improvements (100% stripping is a must, and we don't want the blood cells to be degraded).

                        Also, you SHOULD know your blood type.
                        You could be in a life or death situation, or someone you know might be.
                        If there is an emergency and you are asked, "What is your blood type?" you should be able to tell them.


                        Not only could your life be saved, or someone you know.

                        Each donation helps 3 people.

                        It makes you feel good to know you might have saved someones life.
                        I know I feel great after doing so.
                        It's not really important at all to know your blood type. If you're ever rushed to emerg and require blood, you'll receive O- without being asked your blood type. Some people still have reactions anyway, but you just treat it with meds.

                            I forget how blood types work... or what Rh factor is. Don't bother posting it here, I don't intend to do homework after watching an anime about how 15 middle-schoolers gave up their life to save the pitiful world we live in. =)

                            Nope, no idea what blood type I am. I hear that people with my personality are usually AB (sorry to all the AB people who got offended just now), so I would assume AB.
