I've been with Sean for almost a decade, and we've never celebrated Valentine's really. We just tell each other "Happy Valentine's Dayyyy" and we do what we normally do, but act like it's special because it's supposed to be a special day for couples. So our normal sex is Valentine's sex, and normal talking is Valentine's day talking, and etc. Sometimes we surprise one another with something we don't normally do, like.. writing a poem, or he agrees to dominatrix or something. Men shouldn't expect to have to go out and buy a bunch of **** for their girlfriend. Trust me.
If those chicks think it matters that much if you get them flowers and etc, screw them. Just spend time together and make it apparent that you care. That's all they should want.

I never self-reflect, and therefore, I have no negative thoughts about myself. However I am also aware about my successes.

Our school's talent show is Valentine's Day. I was going to get to play a Yamaha digital piano, until I found out that it was too big to move into the theater. Now I have to play on some crappy keyboard.
woe is me
-.-
Reverse for life!
^Way better than 25thhour's link. You know you want to sign up.
I love Valentine's Day because it's one day of the year where couples specifically focus on each other. Both get to express their love for the other in any way they please.
I'm going to a pretty fancy restaurant this year, but that's because this is the third Valentine's Day we're spending together. I don't believe in anything too extravagant either. And I will be putting just as much effort as my boyfriend is into the date.
You know, it took me until today to figure out that you and Guido are a couple.
-_-
hahahahahahaha.
Also, while I don't really care for Valentine's gifts and whatnot, I would appreciate some sort of token of appreciation -- not even on V-Day, since that's "expected". Just some Gerber Daisies or something.
There's no reason to give a gift. If you guys feel that you need to eliminate all of your finances to show how much you love your boyfriend/girlfriend then you don't really understand what true love is all about.
There is a reason to give a gift, but there is always a limit to everything. Spending all your money over gifts and to prove that you love someone is irrational and makes it seem more like an obligation rather than coming from the heart.
Yes, you shouldn't overdo yourself, but 'a little something' is always nice. Giving 'a little something' to someone is more than just a thought, but it signifies how much you care. =) Don't make it a burden.

Exactly. People who expect something incredible every Valentine's Day are shallow and stupid, anyways. There's no use in making a big deal, just let that someone know that you care for them. =')
Valentines Day isn't something special at all. I'm usually really busy and not interested in anyone (yet) to have a girlfriend. I'll just have a regular, average, normal, uninteresting day, either playing FFR, SM, X-box Live, or hanging out with friends.
PS: Us Canadians (I believe) gets a day off at Feb. 18, due to celebrating "Family Day" (new Canadian holiday after the Liberals won).
I wanna get a gift for the one I love even though we aren't allowed to see each other...Every day is a test for us because it takes all that we have just to find a way to talk...I hate all these lies that we are forced to tell, but if I get to see her face for a split second, they've all been worth it. She's being forced by her parents and her friends to find someone else because they never approved of me...I worry she'll fall in love with someone else besides me...This valentines is the worst, because the only person on this Earth I could ever want to be my valentine could be taken away from me before I know it ...I am doing everything I can to keep her love, so it just astonishes me when I hear people complaining that they have to spend a few dollars on the one that they "love"...
