The love subplot in Episode II is needed, because otherwise, ther would be no Luke and Leia.

Ah, so you did see it?Originally posted by AfrobeanHe's that weird robot thing that was in those cartoons right? He might be able to make the movie better, but I doubt it will top the Yoda fight.Originally posted by OmegaTwo Words:
General Grevious
Come on. He royally whooped SIX Jedi, including one from the Jedi Council. He can effectively use 3 lightsabers at the same time. He looks badass, sounds badass, and wears a giant belt of lightsabers from all the Jedi he has killed.
He'll be an awesome villain.Comment

Well, it's a little before their times. Except IG-88. And maybe Boba.

I don't see what everybody's problem is with the prequels. You guys complain about how he thinks he can just make a bunch of special effects and everybody will watch, but what the hell did he do for the first 3!? You see, Star Wars isn't hardcore sci-fi. It's the light sci-fi with lots of action and stuff that the general public will enjoy. If you want some deep involved story, Star Wars is not the thing for you. Star Wars is just a war movie with aliens and lasers instead of Nazis and BARs.
Personally, I love action and fighting and CG and big explosions. Hence, I love Attack of the Clones (well, I love the last 30 minutes or so). I think most of you guys just have something where you refuse to like anything that is highly popular (Star Wars, GTA, Halo, etc etc etc). There's nothing wrong with Star Wars. It does what it's meant to do, nothing more, nothing less.So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

Uh- no. The first three star wars were awesome. The prequals just suck. They're entirely CG'd (obviously so at times- the special effects from the first movie were less blatant) and lame. EP II was a lot worse than EP I, whose only faults included having bad acting and Jar Jar (unless that was the second, I can't remember).Comment

Jar Jar showed up in BOTH.
If he shows up one more time, even as a cameo...
Fans will go on a huge rage. An Angry Mob. Storm the ranch by millions. And beat his ass.Comment

The prequels were no more "all CG" than the first 3 were all miniatures and camera tricks. Seriously, Star Wars isn't supposed to be deep...So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

I quite agree with everyone who dislikes the prequels. I used to be a hardcore Star Wars fan after I saw the original movies.
I got into the whole Star Wars universe for a few years, but the prequels came out, and people started trying to write books taking place thousands of years before episode 1, and 50 years after Episode 6 with the 70-year-old Luke still jumping around with his lightsaber... it gets tiring.Joy is not the absence of sorrow but the presence of God

Ok, the love subplot was needed, but there are a few things that were messed up. The "Illegal Love" thing is a change. Jedi did in some cases, marry. In many cases, the Jedi did have families. The Jedi would become extinct themselves if they didn't reproduce. Sure you find new disciples, but that only happens to an extent.
The other problem is that the first three movies are actually newer that the second three, and so you have to go back, but still keep the quality. You raise expectations to a level that is almost impossible to reach, and there are things to have to tie in that mess up the plot, such as the C-3PO unit being created by Anikin. They wanted to keep some of the same characters, but that creates incongruities in the story.
(The only REAL bad things were the attempts at humor, using puns.)Comment

I never understood why Jar Jar pissed people off so much. No matter how much you want to believe so, his presence is not what made Episode I a bad movie. And his appearance in Episode II did not make that a bad movie either. Similarly, a cameo by him will do nothing to affect the quality of Episode III.
