So, I know the point your trying to get across is that you should use proper grammar and all, but you included 'lol' in your little list of things not to say in a post. That's a little over the top dontcha think? If everyone typed with perfect grammar in every post, the forums would be very generic.
I'm one of the few that hardly breaks any of 'your rules.' This is kind of like asking all of the newbs to do something that nobody else does. Not only do they not read the stickies, they don't care if their grammar is correct and run spell-check like 150 times to make sure its post appropriate.
Wait...I have a question. So we cannot use words like "omg" and "lol"? Those are the only two "aim lingo" words I use on public forums. I sometimes use "omg", but I usually type it out. As for "lol", I use that a lot. Like this:
"This summer I played DDR at an arcade, but couldn't figure out how to change the difficulty so I ended up losing within the first few seconds. I also made a huge fool of myself. (: lol."
(true story, by the way)
I use LOL to show I'm making fun of myself. I really know no other way (other than physically [sp?] laughing) to show it. Also, when I think I spelled a word wrong, I put "(sp?)" after the word to show that I'm not careless, just not a good speller.
