Well "trying to hit Average" doesn't make sense unless you actually know what an Average feels like. People just don't know how to play early too well -- so I guess "trying to hit Average" comes out, reflexively, to "actually hitting early perfect"

samtorx method

Actually, what I use is a variation. The samtorx method is to shrink/scroll the screen so as to cut the arrow receptors partially or completely out of your view. By doing that, you limit the top of the playing area to an earlier frame, which is useful for combo'ing.

My variation is to leave only a few pixels of the arrow receptors visible. For 4-framers and regular notes, I hit when the arrow's center reaches the line of cutoff. For 3-framers, I hit when the arrow's top reaches the line. Guaranteed AAA if you do it correctly.

Not sure if speed mods affects it...I play 1.75x

No, I'm not joking by the way. Seriously, Rose can go to hell. The patterns are so confusing, that I could never FC the damn thing. My PA is terrible because I just can't read certain streams correctly at all.
