1.5x is too low to alleviate some of the reading problems experienced at 1.0x (and you still have to screenshrink somewhat). 2.0x is too high for FFR's framerate. It's more suited to 60 fps than 30 fps.
1.75x is the perfect balance (imo). It makes most patterns easier to read while keeping within the limits of FFR's visual engine.
