God...that list of music SUCKED. The only decent band on their are Incubus, The White Stripes, and *maybe* Korn (tho they've sold out as of late. Laharl, Nirvana was not the first Emo band, very far from it. IF you actually listened to the music you'd know Kurt wasn't whining about shit...The only song he wrote like that was PennyRoyal Tea which unless you read the lyrics sounds nothing like he's complaining about his stomache pangs. (Which he is) and those little ass hats at story of the year DID THE WORST COVER OF AUTOMATIC FOR THE PEOPLE, EVER. I hate Linkin park with a deep and brewing hatred. They're guitarist doesn't need so godddamn issolation headphone, HE SUCKS BALLS. He's an embarassment to the guitarist community. I've gotta agree; that list of music was pretty bad. The only good bands I've heard mentioned on this thread have been Tenacious D and The Pillows.
But, then again, what do I know? Most of the music I listen to doesn't even come from this country. That which does is, for the most part, underground enough that few people have heard of it...

Anything by POD I just love, especially Satellite and Alive. Coldplay, Puddle of Mud, Smile My Empty Soul, Trapt, Linkin Park and Evanesence are my other favs.
As for older rock, AC/DC and Metallica all the way.
And I don't need any of you "I want to be like all the cool LUE leetist retards and say that anyone who likes Linkin Park is emo because LP has emo lyrics" or whatever, because people who do that piss me off and they only do that because it's totally retarded and they actually pump out good music very similar to some of the electronic dnb music that some of the people who say that listen to anyway.Comment
