Those are SUNGLASSES, and there aren't double uzis in the game.

I use the emulators and take all screen shots I need, then alter them from there. So I kinda do my own sprites.

I know a guy that literally does his own sprites. One time, I was looking for SNK sprites (specifically, Rock's win animation from Garou where he makes purple energy wings behind him) and stumbled upon his message board. Some of the stuff he's showed me impressed the hell out of me.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the link and my other computer was vandalized by my dad. I'm grounded from it so he stole my power cord.

I haven't played MS4, nor do I have a rom of it to rip sprites. As for the sunglasses vs eyepatch thing, look a little closer at the character select screen.

Mychilli: Metal Slug 3 rom. There is an emulator called Kawaks that has an excellent screenshot factory. You can disable all the layers and sprites except for just what you want. Then, set the background to some random color (I usually use green), have the program take a screenshot, load up the screenshot in Photoshop or whatever, and just remove what you're looking for. You can also advance the game a single frame at a time using Kawaks, so the moment the sprite shifts at all, you can take another screenshot. If you count how many frames go by between each spot of animation, then it's easier to get the animation to move the speed it's supposed to.
