Scoring in DDR is shifted so that arrows in the end are worth A LOT more than the ones in the beginning..it's a bad system IMO and should be changed so all notes are weighted equally..if you want the official (and very mathmatical) scoring system go to http://www.aaroninjapan.com/ddr2.html and scroll down to 7th or 8th mix scoring.
Good job on the score btw, keep it up ^_^.

Have you tried messing with gaps? Your soundcard might have weird latency or something. You can change the gap during gameplay with F11-F12.
