    I got the 2nd pack downloaded. OMG, the best files are worse (as in sync) than the worst ffr songs. :/

      We need someone with Guitar Hero 2 to import the tracks onto the game then send them to us. That would be awesome, although perfectly reasonable if they won't do it.

        Re: Frets on Fire?

        It's pretty neat, an account of it being a Guitar Hero emulator, but I don't think it was made with efficiency in mind. Now that I've downloaded my way through this list, it uses over 600MB of page file. It would be fine, if I could only work out what the hell that 600MB is made of. It spends forever and a day loading the 'previews', just because it's actually loading into RAM both audio files and playing them, then it spends roughly as long applying the midi, probably because the preview is discarded and loaded again, or something outright retarded like that. It can also spend quite some time just changing choice of song, just because it's trying to load every preview in between one song and the other (not so much "even the ones it's already previewed" but "especially").
        If it's spending all that time loading stuff, what was it loading in the first place? The only things I can see constantly present are images for the levels' tapes (and very few actually have them), the highest score for each difficulty of each level, and what difficulties exist. I'd sooner run out of HDD space than get 600MB of that, unless the images are of obscene quality and resolution.

        However, once I'm playing, all is fun and joyous.

        Loading Penis Measurement Test "FFR.pmt"... done.
        Reading Empirical values... done.

        Output as follows:
        #AAA = 1
        AAA = { Dance 2 This }
        #BlackFlag = 1
        BlackFlag = { Trip to the Moon }

            I might just rent GH2 and import them, although this is probably easier.

                  so I made a chart for St Scarhand in SM, using the left five arrows of Doubles

                  not like anyone can actually play it since I made it in SM, but it was still fun to make rofl

                      My comp is slow as ****, too. I'm getting GH2 in a couple days, so I'll just import and leave it on a couple days.

                        Re: Frets on Fire?

                        i used to play frets on fire but then i found guitar zero. its an exact guitar hero clone with the rock meter and everything

                        download: http://savefile.com/download/454522?...e959443b4185eb

                        it only works with an actual guitar hero guitar and a ps2 usb converter.
                        otherwise, you need to download PPJOY to use your keyboard with the game, which can be found somewhere around here (along with other mods and songs):

                          Reviving this thread because my friend is trying to get me to get good at guitar games, and I'm using this as practice, since my PS2 is borked.

                          This hurts my wrist ten times more than FFR ever did and I've only played ten songs today.

                          Sooooo... any 2010 forumers play this game?
