i don't believe the government should be able to step in and ban smoking from places either. . .then again, i'm an avid smoker who enjoys smoking when i go out. . .so my opinion is very swayed.

get a microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse. . .my dad has one, and it's awesome. . .the arrow keys are nicely spaced, and it's just really comfortable. plus you can move the keyboard around to get it in...
