    A Correspondances Illumitees / Elektrik Shiivers

    I suggest either removing or replacing the background video on "A Correspondances Illumitees" and "Elektrik Shiivers."

    Here is my reasoning:

    On Correspondances Illumitees:

    1. The background video is absolutely terrible quality. Even "Party For You V2" has a CLEAN and non blurry low quality background.

    2. The background animation has a flash in it, which in a chart with 192nd's (white notes) and pretty much anything actually, is just NEVER something you should do because it makes the chart stupidly hard to read. Refer again to "Party For You V2" - the chart isn't hard so much for the fact of JUST the blue on blue and constant cutting, but also the flashing of the animation.

    On Elektrik Shiivers:

    1. The background video is absolutely terrible quality. Even "Party For You V2" has a CLEAN and non blurry low quality background.

    Again this is a suggestion, I'm not sure how many other people find this not only either annoying/adds unintended difficulty but I know for one it makes the charts to me unbearable beyond the plays required to put a rank on them, or unlock them.

      Sad you feel this way. I think the videos add to a more immersive playing experience seeing as they compliment the songs so well
      (iirc the artist was also the background animation artist)

      Quality is acceptable btw. Do you want huge loading times and HQ vid or a quick load with decent quality? Preference. Obviously they opted for the latter.

      PS: Clicked this thread hoping it was to compliment how awesome the songs / files are. Just another middie thread though smh

          It's just a file. The background is dark enough not to even matter when someone's playing.

                      That's neat but it honestly has to relevance to the thread.

                      The quality was more of a preference I agree. Let's be honest I'd never use a background video for a song on this game, but that's not the point. I just was suggesting something.

                      The songs aren't anything special, and the first chart is fine I don't mind it, the second one is just annoying though, mostly because of that background flash messing with my play of the chart, not the chart it's self. There's nothing wrong with the charts, but they're just kind of there. Nothing much to say about them.

                      The background isn't the problem, it's the flash. For the sake of argument: I can read blue on blue arrows just fine, but the minute there is a flash of white (as like the A Correspondances Illumitees background video and Party For You V2) I'm going to mess it up every time because of the flash, not the fact it's blue on blue.

                              I have AAA'd both files easily without any difficulty added from the background videos. Party4u is a lot harder to read FYI

                                  If you think the BG videos for nois's Aliceffekt files are bad, you should see them at 100% brightness. I conveniently lowered the brightness to 25% for sake of play - 100% it was blinding.

                                  party4u and Marisa are at 100% brightness and they suck to play

                                      Supermoe I know Party 4u is a lot harder I'm just saying wasn't the point of stopping video backgrounds in the first place because it made charts unbearably hard to read? I'm fine dealing with the fact they're grainy and stuff, I put the other one there because it bothered me personally, which is why this is just a suggestion rather than me complaining.

                                      It's just obnoxious to have to watch it a good deal of times to memorize a section because of something that was added and isn't technically part of the chart it's self. Does that kind of sound more reasonable?

                                      And yeah Dossar I'm sure it'd have been Party4u v2 all over again.

                                          The BG videos for the two files are fine. What really needs fixing are files like party4u and Marisa Stole The Precious Thing - those videos are way too bright and I absolutely despise playing those files because of how easily they could've been darkened but were not darkened at all.

                                              What's funny is he wasn't even rude about this and you all jump down his back. I personally can't stand backgrounds or background videos either, but that's my preference. And he brings up flashing in the video, which I have to agree is the worst to me.

                                                  All these new video files are fine by me, they are not unbearably hard to read (again I have no skill drop on these video files) the fact that they have had the brightness turned down makes them 100% easier to read and honestly I want to see more files like this as it makes the file unique.

                                                      If there is going to be a background video or background to a file, there needs to be a rule that it must be darkened for sake of playing.
