There are permission issues dealing with larger bands.

And who's to say what we have isn't 'good' music? I love 95% of the songs in game.

Remember that people have different tastes, and so "lacking good modern songs" is agreeable to those who share similar tastes to yours.

As others have said already, permission for any artist is required, so getting permission from well-known artists is more difficult than underground or less well-known artists.

Yes, you're probably right that more of those rock songs will attract more players to the site, but I think that's only a partial reason as to why there are less people on this site. Once again though, it's a mistake to imply that current songs are "not good" as that's an assumption based on your own tastes of music.

The good news though is that we do have a song from Disturbed coming in the near future.

Besides the permission issue on good bands, people tend to bitch about rock songs in general hence why so few step them. I would like to see a lot more rock, preferably heavier rock, get stepped to help even out all those real long, soft rock songs we currently have flooding the rock genre making people not want to like the rock genre.

This, except maybe not 95% of the songs since I haven't even played half, but 10-12 I love 99% of the songs.

I'm not particularly fond of those 3-5+ minute rock songs and some of them are repetitive. I'm already putting off FC-ing a bunch of simple ones just because it takes so much time.

Also, I love the obscurity of some songs. I'm quite glad a lot of the mainstream songs aren't on here.

I like pretty much all types of music, so FFR is great for me. Of course, it'd be nice to have more well-known songs from bigger bands, but copyright doesn't always allow that to happen.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion on all the new songs. If you want something that you like in game, step it and send it in when the batch opens. That's about your best shot at getting what you want in game.

Go get the permission yourself if you REAAAAAAAALLLY want a chance at it being in the game. lmao
I like those "Screamo" files because they play differently. (do not really like the music however..)
