This will be the first of (hopefully) many chess tourns to be hosted here on FFR.

This will be the site primarily used unless the 2 participants decide on another way of playing.
Buy-ins:
Entry fee is 5k
(this is to deter inactive participants and 100% noobs, though noobs are more than welcome to
enter)Credits should be sent to ULTIMATE CHESS TOURN
(this will be the credit holding account)
Rules:
Rules are fairly simple. Once the rounds games are set, there will be 3 days of which to organise and play said tourney. Extensions in later rounds will most likely be permitted due to the credit prizes at hand.
The cliché no cheating rule, etc. Please don't get your GM uncle to 'pop over' on the same night you happen to be playing every game, this will suck the fun out of this tournament.
If you cannot contact the person that you're playing, or they just won't respond. A decision will be made, most likely favouring the person who is making an effort posting in the thread, pm'ing myself or Maggie, or showing evidence of a no-show.
Structure & Prizes:
Prize structure will of course depend on the amount of participants, but with the 5k buy-in, expect the grand prize to be somewhat spectacular ~___~
The structure will be a basic bracket, leading toward a final showdown.
The matches will all be standard, but be prepared for the last few matches to be best of 3 bouts to ensure that the final winner is indeed, the current chess champion of FFR!!
(there may/may not be a battle for 3rd position too, depending on the amount of entrants)
