What are the old and new dimensions of the profiles for making custom profiles? I can photoshop myself but I'd much rather not be using trial and error here for figuring out the boxes and alignment positions.

Yeah, for height, just make it as long as you need for how much information you have on your page. If you have a lot of long random thoughts and pictures in your profile comments, then you're gon'na need more space.
995 is in fact the width for the new profile layout. However, the old layout only shows 942 pixels in width.
If you take a screenshot and crop to the corners, you'll find those pixel values.
Where the blocks are actually move depending on the borders you have on your blocks.
I know for the new layout, solid 1-pixel borders will push the text 1 pixel to the right.
It's best to take a screenshot of your profile and create your graphics over that.
Keep in mind the height of your banner, the dimensions of your avatar, and the borders on the blocks, and note how they affect the placement of the text.Comment

Re: New and old Profile dimensions
I always based myself on the banner width. On the old layout, it says the maximum size is 960. I made profiles with this width and nothing were crop after uploading, that's why I think 960 is the real width.
And, for more room to work with, make yourself a transparent banner, 200px tall, then you can make anything on the BG, and it'll still appear in your profile because of the transparent banner.

I never use x200, It really doesnt matter, so I just crop the top (just enough to get the text or whatever in there, usually between 100px and 150px) then hide all the layers.

Not if it snaps to layers, and its more specific when you crop it imo, you dont know how big it needs to be (Unless you use 200px every time) when you start with a new file

Re: New and old Profile dimensions
Turns out when I tried uploading a 60,000 pixel high background it kept giving me the "512 KB" message even though my image was only around 490 KB.
My current profile is 55,000 pixels high. I guess that's the limit lol.Originally posted by hi19hi19oh boy, it's STIFF, I'll stretch before I sit down at the computer so not I'm not as STIFF next time I step a fileComment
