Alright, normally I don't mind a minor power outage, it is normally fixed by the next day. An ice storm hit by where I live and I lost power at my house.

I live in Kalamazoo county which has about 230,000 people in it, and about 46,500 lost power here. My house is on one of literally 3 streets in my subdivision without power, and we are one of the last areas likely to be fixed do to the small number of people affected (probably about 100 total affected people only).
I called the power company today, and they estimated that we'd have power by 11:50PM Thursday night, the power went out Sunday night! I am so frustrated right now, no internet, no lights, no TV. Luckily we have a generator that is running our furnace and hot water heater but that is all we have! We have to get around with flashlights at night.
I am at my girlfriends house right now which is how I am online, but like, I literally played FFR at the university library today because I needed my dosage of gaming (I usually avoid doing non school things at school other than checking email).
I am going to be playing tennis at the Rec Center at my university tomorrow with some friends but at night it is terrible not having power.
The guy at the power company said it might be finished sooner but he could only garauntee by Thursday at 11:50PM. I will keep you updated if I get power back soon.
What makes it worse is my ping pong table is in the basement and has no light now to be able to play, and the rest of my neighborhood has power and I can see their lights on at night.
Worst power outage ever! I will let you know how it goes. Tennis will be nice, I will try and play that every day of it, but I do have some homework and tests left to do this week so I guess I'll be stuck at the library instead of at home.
Has anyone else ever had to deal with an obnoxiously long power outage? What did you do? I can handle it during the day time but at night there is basically nothing to do except go to bed if I can't manage somewhere to go (it is a school week after all).
Wish me luck!
