    Offsync songs. (Not blue-arrow era)

Legend of the Starfighter is at least a tenth of a second offsync. The offsync songs are a glaring problem and I personally think all the songs from 2007 on should be looked at professionally and fixed, unless it'll cause a major scorewipe on that level. Or even if it does, it's worth it still to at least look and consider. It's easy enough and reasonable to ask. Plus, something tells me it wasn't this way before FFR went down, and that more than one song suddenly fell out of sync on the restore.

Tass wasn't very good at that....

There have always been slightly off-sync files in the game, Rage Template is a bit more than slightly off-sync.

Right? I mean, I don't think I'm being a dick when I say that it seems that the restore brought about new syncing problems that weren't applicable previously. It's not like taking a look will hurt.

Sometimes it's computer dependent. Every computer functions differently.

I watched leonid's AAA of super mario 80s remix and noticed that he was tapping substantially early. Is this because of the center of the perfect window is 33ms early thing, or is the chart offsync? If it's the latter it should be fixed

I've been rather frustrated that ever since I started using my laptop instead of the desktop computer, nearly every song has been offsync for me. They're offsync to various degrees, but it makes a difference such that I can't AAA hardly anything these days. I can't really explain why else I get random goods on any part of a song. I got rid of my lag problem too.

I know other engines have this already, but how is an offset adjustment not in order yet for FFR?!

I would be so happy if this would be implemented in the very near future.

It's too bad though that this would ruin the difficulties of a few songs that use bad gap syncing as a source of difficulty*. Nevertheless, that's a minor issue compared to not being able to play most songs accurately. I'd hope to see an optional gap adjustment feature sooner than later...

*since a lot of these files are from FFR long ago, even more of a reason to make a separate genre with "historic FFR charts" that have strange attributes that you don't see in modern files such as offsyncing

If we can get .dwi files of those songs (old ones), we should be able to fix easily.

basically I have mid-2007 or newer files.

                    are you kidding
song's on ocremix right. since it's by injury
just make a new file and ctrl+r while watching someone play the chart then adjust offset until it matches song
literally 15 minutes of work or so

well this only applies to super mario eighties mix because it's so trivial to recreate

Except that re-syncing the blue-note songs has been a denied request for YEARS.

Definitely fix any newer songs that are off though.

Tass was on a mission to fix all offsync files a while ago. There was even a thread made where he specifically asked which files were off and fixed a good bit of them. Obviously he didn't get to resync all of them. But it has been done and could be done again
