If you have a large family and only a couple bathrooms that are both in use, another person that has to use the toilet has nothing so they go to the bathtub instead. I've seen it done many times.

I actually think the guy was just in the bathtub to wash off the mess on him.

Really though, I was laughing literally 80% of the time I was reading that story - definitely worthy of a rereading.
