    Can't get No-CD Crack to work

    I just downloaded Morrowind: Elder Scrolls III and I cannot figure out how to get the No-Cd Crack to work.. I put it in the gaming folder to get it to run. The main menu loads but when I hit play it just says Insert CD. This is my first time trying to get a No-CD crack to work, so maybe I'm just doing it wrong?
    Can someone give some ideas on what to do? The crack is an Exe. file.

      Try buying the game. You might have an easier time playing it.

          I didn't illegally download it, the CD is just too scratched up for it to work. It keeps freezing up when I try to load a saved game.

          No-cd "cracks" are indeed warez though. They make changes to copyrighted code.

              As it has already been said in the thread, this really shouldn't be here. I would suggest checking where you got this from in the first place as the source might be able to help you more than we can.

                          Try toothpaste. Works wonders, bro. Try googling "fix scratched CD" too.

                          Also try reinstalling.

                          From the disc.

                              I've done this with Starcraft, D2 and other games. I believe you have to copt the installer off the disc into your game folder, then run the no-cd. Try that, then let me know what happens (Generally no-cd's come with a readme that tells you how)

                                      The crack is usually an exe of the same name as the one needed to run the game.

                                      Go to program files > maker of game > game > then replace the exe with the crack. (ie Move and Replace)

                                              I believe you're entitled to have one backup copy of a game that you've bought and still own (like roms, etc).

                                              Grandiagod has the right idea though if you're still wondering.

                                                  Don't you the install file from the cd so the crack recognizes it as well? Most of the no-cd's i've tried you needed the INSTALL.exe or SETUP.exe from the cd O.o

                                                          Yeah I figured that as well, that's why you need the installer in the game folder, so the crack recognizes everything that is needed to run the game and it'll work (It should anyway if I exdplained myself properly O.o)
