FFR helping you do something thats not FFR?

For me, I have this problem while drumming where my foot wants to follow the lead of my hands. So, now while playing FFR, I move my foot to the beat of the song I'm playing and of course, my hands move seperately. And it's helped my drumming a lot!! What about you? I was thinking, that maybe it would help a guitarist just because of the speed and coordination you have to have to play FFR.
    So, anyone? ^o^

I have found that it definitely helps me fingering, certain... things... a lot quicker, yes, you are right.
I love philosophy. It's really my Nietzsche.

Well I've been on a competitive swim team for a number of years. These past two years I have found that my time off the starting block, after the starting signal has been blown, has decreased dramatically. I'm certain that it's because of FFR and how it improves my reflexes.

Not FFR specifically, but since FFR lead me to stepmania, playing the game so much has given me a way to think about music and break it down in my head and thus a greater appreciation for rhythmic and melodic elements. Basically, rhythm gaming got me to appreciate music.

Similar to this, I have an odd habit of stepping songs in my head (oh look, hands would be nice here. That would make fun js etc) even when I'm nowhere around a computer or stepmania.

Haha yeah, and piano. Breaking down music too. >o>
....xD I was just wondering how it might've helped people. There are a lot of different hobbies and jobs, was wondering what the replies would be.

                  I feel the same way

FFR has helped me in all sorts of musical aspects, like Patashu, I know can appreciate music more.

Also it's helped me develop skills for independence (what OP was talking about with drums), how fast I can move my left hand for guitar, and I can just all round move my fingers faster.

have to agree with this one

rhythm games in general have more applications but that's my only FFR-specific one

I used to do this in class all the time whenever I was listening to music.

I play bass guitar, and arrow tapping has helped increase my speed and accuracy on my right hand while playing bass.
