    Strategies for Increased Blood Donors

    Ok, well, the people in my Medical Science class want us to somehow increase the amount of people in our city who donate blood from 5% to 10%.

    This means we need to do stuff, like advertise. The problem is, we have a spending limit. I'm not sure how much it is, but however much it is, we should limit it to less than that.

    I have some strategies so far:

    Advertise

    Public Speaker

    Flyers

    Incentives (raffle prizes)

    Safety Issues Addressed (you CANNOT get AIDS from donating blood

    FREE T-Shirts (on front: I donated Blood on back: I saved a life)

    That's all I have so far. Anyone else have some ideas?

    Remember, this will make the difference between somebody living and dying.

          Any what? Do you mean cookies or something?

          I was thinking that maybe we could get a sponsor, like 7-Eleven or Kroger or maybe KFC to sponsor the whole thing and give away free Slurpees or something like that.

          Does anyone else have an idea for sponsors?

                      An online dancing simulator forum doesn't care about blood donors. Unless you were going to make a thread in CT and actually make it more than a few sentences and looking like it was written up by somebody in grade 2 for a school report we don't care...really.

                      And the point of a forum is to contribute to it too. I've never seen you post outside your own threads.

                          Also, that was just a statement, all of that. You're just telling us what you're doing. I don't make threads everyday saying "I did this today at school: blah blah blah blah blah blah". That's basically what your threads are. Blah.

                              This isn't just about today.

                              It's also about later.

                              I thought maybe you guys would know how to attract people over the age of 17.

                              What sponsors should I sign, or would you recommend if you were forming blood drives?

                                      If you sacrifice yourself, there wouldn't need to be twice the amount of blood donors.

                                                  How old are you? I doubt some kid is going to get the equipment necessary to donate blood. Just go to a hospital and donate your own blood, because that's all you can do. The red cross or whatever is doing a fine job. They go to schools and do it right.

                                                          You can donate blood here in California at the age of 16 with a parents signature. I almost did, but I'm not 16 until November.
