Song Choice

First off, you must know that music choice is everything in Stepmania. It can make or break the file. Choosing a really fast song and making it easy is just as bad as taking a nice, slow song and making it hard as fuc. Nor do people want to play a file for a song that's horrible (like Hannah Montana or something). Yeah, the file may be great in terms of technicallity, but listening to a dumb girl attempting to be a pOp SeNsAtiOn is NOT cool. People don't want to play a great song that has bad steps. Ctrl+R on a Dream Theater is NOT the way to go. That said, here's a personal list of what shouldn't be stepped.

Shouldn't be stepped at all:
Dragonforce
Sharpnel
m1dy
Anything Mainstream (Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, etc.)
Anything associated with Disney
Hip-Hop
Random screaming into a computer microphone
J-Pop
J-Rock
J-Core
J-Anything (except maybe capsule hehehe)

Would Require a Veteran Stepper (or luck):
Venetian Snares
Dream Theater
Terminal11
Capsule
Old School Hip-Hop
Any kind of trance (this could probably be in the "don't step at all" list)
Pokemon stuff (sup kommi <3)

Obviously, this is just a personal list. Some people would love to step Sharpnel and play Sharpnel. But not a lot. Same with m1dy. Go ahead and step Jonas Brothers, just don't expect recognition. And yes, I've broken most of these rules (especially vsnares), but now that I'm a bit more experienced, I can say this.
