Re: Song Choice
I looked into his MSWGO (Guitar Solo) file actually. Lots of errors. The files not bad, but the guy's way too arrogant.
I could take forever going over things. Here are some quick ones though:
*There should be 8th note trills at 84.95 and 86.05 that each produce 16th jacks. He just put long jacks for both.
*Jacks @ 93.55 make no sense at all.
*107.04 seconds in seems very outta sync when you slow it down. Frequently this can be attributed to stepping a multiple of the actual beats, but I don't beleive this to be the case here.
*Notes at 96.55 and 97.15 should be separate from the jack. Continuing them breaks the pitch flow.
*A lot of the 24ths didn't make any sense.
*16th note at 130.07 should be closer to like a 32nd @ 130.03 seconds.
*A lot of pitch inconsistencies (generally pretty small though).
*A lot of missed and added notes.
If you were to really go into details there are errors everywhere. Superficially the sims pretty ephin' awesome though. I just wish he wouldn't put others down like he's some SM god or something. Respect other's styles, and if you are gonna talk ****, please back it up.
*edit* This was really a lose-lose situation for me. I couldn't let him just walk over me, but now I'm sure I started a flame war (oh noez!!!). I hate flame wars
. This really sucks.

Re: Song Choice
Wow, you really went all-out, huh?
Well um would you refer me to a file of yours to play?
*edit* Let me clarify a few things about my CFE file first:
One of the biggest issues with the file is that a lot of the detail can't be heard well unless you slow things down just a bit. I'm sure you figured that out though. The second biggest issue was determining the correct multiple from the actual beat and still accurately produce a relative speed. In other words: Say something sounds like 64ths. Now you obviously can't include that, but it's certainly a noticeable increase from the 16ths just behind it. The solution is 32nds.
Eh, you'll see. I'm confident you bashed it to a pulp. =P Certainly not the best song for a file.Last edited by N.T.M.; 09-25-2008, 02:05 PM.“Beware the irrational, however seductive.
