New For Great Justice! - Buried

It's too much weight to be juggling, slowly drowning, what I feel when I get anxiety and am suffering.

Buried is a throwback to the original sound, but with better beat work.

I originally pictured it with a rap on top, but I really dislike the idea of using my own voice, so if you can flow and want to give it a shot, let me know and we'll work something.

I've listened to your album everyday on the bus rides to university this week.

Brb, checking the song...which is probably amazing anyways.

      edit: and I'm right

KgZ, because you don't know what you're talking about doesn't mean you're correct.

Plenty of MCes flow on mixes that are faster paced. Mental Sharp, Messian, Spyda, Danger Massive, Outerspace, all can do itamong others. I've seen it live. If they don't want to throw out fast verses you can always utilize cut time at half the speed of the track, which is also a method you can also use to splice hip hop beats and vocals on top of dnb and IDM songs.

And your opinion is wrong. I can have an opinion that the moon's gravity has no influence over the Earth's ocean tides, but I'd be wrong. I can defend it by saying well I didn't know, but I'd still have been wrong. You can't hide ignorance behind the word "opinion".

DnB is not IDM. They are separate.

Mental Sharp consists of two MCes. they don't produce. They show up at shows with DJs, flow on top of the sets. They have track credits but it is other producers who make it, and then Mental Sharp flows on top.

Not sure how anyone could really rap to this, it's way too fast, and it's not something you could really "flow with".

                Overall, pretty good song.
Let me cover something, that has been bothering me for a while.

If you note, Spook didn't mention anything about his music, he was posting it to be heard, not critiqued. We've learned in the past, Kgz, he doesn't respect your opinions.

Everything you mentioned, "Harmonically lacking"? A "few subtle instruments I felt were needed."? Do you even realize how much of a pompous asshole you sound like? Like, really? Who died and made you the lord of production. It's creativity. He's not trying to make the song as you perceive it.

Spook makes all the synths in his tunes for the most part anyways, what instruments did you hear that needed to be there. A ****ing piano?

...and it was "HARMONICALLY LACKING." Sorry if he left out his secondary dominants, and suspended resolutions. **** mate, you make eletronic music too. Get your ass out of classical music theory, and definitely stop pretending you know more than you actually do. Your tunes aren't exactly a god send on music. The difference between you two, is you have a damn crutch with music theory, which is probably why your songs are so uninteresting, and contentless. Just like every easy listening and pop producer. Robert doesn't take that approach, so take your "harmonic skelleton" and try focusing on texture, dynamics, and tension. Music isn't all about the ****ing notes on the page, it's about the environment and idea it expresses.

Those two comments piss me off, because your "sound" (aka musical wankery) has nothing to do with what Robert produces; coming off like you know ANYTHING about something you don't truly know about is absolute madness.

Before you get into this, "it's none of my business" I'll cut the argument off by noting how this is a public forum.

KgZ. Get your head out of your ass, realize you're being pompous, and so high on your horse I'm afraid to knock you off for your own safety.

For and MC being able to MC over this song, my roommate just did. Also, plenty of amazingly 'out there' tunes have MCs over them.

Oh yeah, and before any other backlash comments. This is an opinion.
