    Preview music for songs? (Suggestion)

    First off, I don't know how hard this would be to implement, but it would require some programming.

    I'd love to be able to click a song to play, and hear a short sample from it before actually loading the level, to make sure I'm picking the right one, and to help me pick songs I will enjoy. Just a thought, really. Not sure if it's feasible.

          What a thoughtless response. If he wanted to play stepmania, he wouldn't be worried about a problem like this in ffr would he?

          Sometimes I think my ffr glitches up/i'm crazy because I swear I can hear preview music occasionally.

              Not worried, and it's not a problem. Just an idea. I do play Stepmania, and I was wondering if such a system would be able to work for FFR.

              Again, just a thought.

                          Agree'd, This would be just another thing to lag FFR more. IMO it is a very good idea, I actually like it, but what R1 has right now, is enough to lag. Not to mention, multiplayer would be ****ed.

                              Yeah, as it stands, FFR is a bit slow (although a decent improvement from the last 1400k or so engine), but something like that would cause more loading needed to be done.

                                      an on/off option has to be implanted as well fer the slow computer people.

                                          It could be disabled upon entering multiplayer mode. An on/off switch would be nice as well.

                                          ...wait, you mean people still use dial-up? :P

                                              single click on a song -> (buffering for a couple of seconds) -> preview music

                                              like game level stats.. probably not too hard technically.
