Yeah, I've noticed a significant increase in the lag that I get from this site. A lot more boomisses, and mp amplifies it. I used to be able to FC like I FCd in sp as if mp were the same, but now there are a lot more frameskips. Light frameskips result in goods, while heavy frameskips result in boomisses. The most annoying part is that this frameskipping sometimes happens in sp. My Divine Suicide AAA went down the drain because of a boomiss. At first, I thought it was because of my new computer, but that doesn't seem to be the case...

Frameskips are the equivalent of lags, except on a much smaller scale.

In the end however, lag is probably unfixable by the admins. It's not the site's fault. So, w/e, we gotta deal.

it just doesn't make sense as to WHY. i mean, it was working fine in the beta... what changed when it was made public?

Midday, does this still happen on the beta? or just in the game?

I lag considerably more in both beta and the normal game. Frequent frameskips cause a lot of goods and boomisses. The site in general takes longer to load, songs included.

Wow, I'm getting disgusting lag right now. The genre wheel moves at a snail's pace at best, and when I finally get into a genre, the song rows take like 5 seconds each to lay out flat. I clicked the settings tab and it literally took 10 seconds to pop out when usually it takes .5 seconds.

This is bad. I've never ever had it this bad.

the same thing has been happening to me ever since the fix went public . even on ffr lite im having lag in sp which sucks

playing on beta is even worse =/

ive also followed all procedures to try and get rid of said lag

EDIT:i just tried playing on beta again in mp and its running fine just the regular leg that someone would get from mp

I've noticed lag and slow loading recently.
I'm using a new computer that never had problems with the game before.

For the record, having not played FFR in a while, thus needing to reload everything, my game client loaded quickly, my song selection loaded fine, the song loaded quickly, and I played the whole thing through with no lag or unexpected dropped arrows or anything.

Maybe all that is happening is that the release of the fix is making a bunch of people who haven't played in a while come back, thus bringing heavier traffic than we're used to at peak times.

i haven't noticed any lag either.... but, more than the beta release, i'm wondering if the MFA/FFRock traffic is causing it? Doesn't make sense that it would have to do with the avmiss fix.

I don't lag to the point where I can't play the game anymore. As in, it's not that serious. Around one boomiss every five games, and probably a good every two games or so. (I'm not so confident about my pa in certain songs... so I don't know whether it's me or the game, but the boomisses are there... so I figured.) It's just a slight yet significant increase in annoyance. I can deal.

As for the reason, no idea...
