    Artist Yuuyu's Permission

    Direct translation:
    Any product on this site is allowed to be used for all non-profit organizations. Reports on song usage is unnecessary/up to the user.

    Therefore, we have a new artist. Yay. I would love to report to him that we are using his music on FFR, but I don't see any link to his email or blog, so I can't.

    About his songs:
    Many many varieties of genres. From drum-n-bass to gothic rock to Touhou remixes, Yuuyu has made many different songs. Many of his songs have Hatsune Miku in it, whether it's for a vocal or a sound effect. He has a series of songs based on the novel 猫の地球儀 (Cat's Globe), which I think are probably his best creations. About 1/3 of his songs are Touhou remixes. He has many songs that are stepfile worthy. He is fond of OSTER Project and dBu.

    I plan to make an mp3 pack, similar to that of OSTER Project's in the chitchat thread (link in the sig below). I also plan to make a bms pack as well (seeing that half of his songs are bms). Should these packs be placed here? Or in a separate thread?

    Lastly, I have stepped experimental-002, a drum-n-bass/ambience mixture. Grand song. I'll post details later.

                  It's not necessarily wrong. I asked, what is [awesome]?

                  By the way, creating a whole new thread that encompasses all of the amateur artist I know of and either have/will get permission from. Some artists: OSTER Project, Kz, North T, Kajuki, Livetune, Baker, kisk, Yuuyu, iroha, sasaki, SAM, Kuchibashi, Xi, etc. I guess I'll put a link here too.

                              Midday: did you actually ask permission and receive it... or are you just going off of what is stated on their site? Because I have a hard rule that even with open permission for non-profit use of music (newgrounds, ocremix, anything with a creative commons license, etc)... still require direct artist permission.

                              Why? Because it isn't just about having awesome music in FFR. It's also about promoting the artists and getting them involved when possible. I want them to want to be in FFR... to KNOW they are in FFR. Not to blindly use their stuff and then maybe shoot them an e-mail when a level goes in. Get them psyched and pumped to be in our game.

                              Get what I'm saying?

                                  Hmm. I see. It looks like I will need to get an email and forward it to you. Yuuyu has given me permission. Baker has yet to respond. I haven't asked the others yet. But, because OSTER Project is in on FFR, I'm sure the others will too. Japanese Amateur Music Society is a pretty small world, when it comes to publicity. Everyone knows each other... so if one gets involved with something, the others are bound to too.

                                  I'll send you those emails once I get them. If they come in Japanese, I'll translate for you.

                                  Yuuyu responded with a "WTF OSTER is in on this???" response... XD
