    KOF vs Street Fighter

    alrighty so heres the deal:

    I was wondering who is better? Street Fighter or King of Fighters?
    There both great but one must win. So i leave it up to you.

                                              King of Fighters, without a doubt.

                                              Terry Bogard > Ryu, any day of the week.

                                              SNK fighters in general are WAY better than Capcom productions. Any of you ever play Garou: Mark Of Wolves? *me drools* That is SUCH an awesome game. Rock is one of the coolest characters, ever. Too bad he's only been in that game and in Capcom vs SNK.

                                              Seriously, Street Fighter games got pretty bland. After the first Alpha game, they've all been the exact same. No new inovations, and hardly any new characters.

                                              Oh, and as far as fighters go, Guilty Gear reigns supreme.

                                                  That's your preference, I personally think Street fighter is awesome...CHUNLI KICKS ASS!



                                                  this is a ss of an arcade version, the ps1 version called Street Fighter SX2 plus has graphics pretty much exactly the same. huge variety of technics/combos...awesome game.

                                                  EDIT: after reading laharl's post, i gotta say one more thing. Not enough variety of characters? *cough* maybe if you're thinking of the old Street Fighter I and II etc...but the newer stuff has added a whole dozen new characters at the least. Look at the screenshot for an example. ever see those two in the older versions? NOPE!

                                                          What I meant by that is not how many characters are in the game, but how different they are from one another. Ken, Ryu, Akuma? Same person, just with differing power on certain moves. Rock and Terry? Similar moves, yes. But both execute them in completely different ways, still have different moves, and actually look different.

                                                          Street Fighter 3 has made a little bit of ground in that area, but overall, each new character that Capcom comes up with is just a slightly different version of some other character.

                                                          Also, I really, really enjoy fighting games. I've played most of them. My opinions are based on having played many, many, many games on both sides.

                                                          I'm willing to bet that most the people in here that said Street Fighter haven't even played any SNK game.
