Hi everyone. This is my first time running an FFR tournament, and like the name suggests, it will have 7 rounds. Please read!!
Rounds
In this tournament, each round will last around a week. There will be NORMAL rounds and SPECIAL rounds. In normal rounds, you will play a given song with the regular scoring system (see below) and submit your score through a screenshot. Special rounds (2,4,6, and namely Skill Token PA Round, Minimum Combo Round, and Task Round) will have different scoring systems, but you still post your score here in a screenie. In all rounds, there will be an ELIMINATION LINE that separates players who will be moving on to the next round and players who will be eliminated.
Scoring
Normal scoring system is:
YOUR SCORE (the one above your total at the result screen) + YOUR COMBO.
This way, combo will not matter very much, but will affect your score in case of people with very matched skills.
In the SKILL TOKEN PA ROUND, all songs will be...well...skill token songs =P
Your score will be the NUMBER OF PERFECTS minus the NUMBER OF BOOS.
In the MINIMUM COMBO ROUND, your goal is to pass (you need to for the score to count!) the song with the least possible combo and perfects. Your score will be 10x YOUR COMBO + the NUMBER OF PERFECTS. (Of course, lowest scores will move on.)
And lastly, in the TASK ROUND, your goal is to get as close as possible to the ridiculous things required from a song. (e.g. 25 goods, 50 averages) The total of the numbers your result is off by from these requirements is your score, and again, lowest scores move on.
Divisions
I hope to have 4 divisions:
GURU (Challenging - FGO)
EXPERT (Very Difficult - FMO)
INTERMEDIATE (Standard - Very Difficult)
BEGINNER (Very Easy - Tricky)
but if there aren't enough people, I would have to settle for three.
Post what division you want to be in, but I will check your stats to make sure you aren't way off.
