    Stephen King is sick and twisted.

    Ok so my friend tells me about a guy named Stephen King who writes sick and twisted books that are full of gore and all this nastyness, but I don't believe it. Soo, I start reading this book by him called Rose Madder, which is about a woman who runs away from 14 years of abuse by her husband, which almost kills her. But anyways I'm on the way to church on a Sunday and I'm reading pg. 74 of this Rose Madder book. *barfs* That page alone tells you a whole lot about Stephen King. I honestly do not want to tell u the details cuz it will make myself puke.
    It makes me wonder what kind of a childhood he had to write such disturbing books. Could his parents have influenced this? Or maybe the media? Who knows...

      Agree with Mr. Pop, but every time someone mentions him I think of the Family Guy ep with him and the lamp monster. ooOOOoooohh!

          Stephen King writings aren't all that gorey. Sometimes a little disturbing, but he's hardly "sick and twisted".

          Also, I had a great childhood, yet I write pretty disturbing things. What does that have to do with anything?

                              Stephen King tells it like it is.

                              To put it bluntly, he doesn't beat around the bush. He describes exactly what would most likely happen in a situation like that.

                              If you can't stand something like a gay hand job for a page or two, go read something by Robert Munsch.

                                      Stephen King is just honest. He's one of the best authors in terms of making you feel what the character is feeling.

                                                      I like Stephen King's books. He's a really good author. If you can't handle something that he writes, you can't. I just don't get you people... I guess I'll try to read Rose Madder. The story-line seems interesting. ^-^

                                                          There's no such thing as "over the top". If it's realistic for the situation, then it gets written. If you are too immature to read it, then don't.
