    Looking for sounds.

Not too long ago, I had a small discussion with KgZ about FL Studio, he also told me to avoid getting FL Syndrome. I already mix up my sounds with the demo, but I'd like to avoid this problem completely.

Chronamut, a Newgrounds artist, recommended that I find samples and loops outside of FL. Just to let you know, I did do my homework. Google, Newgrounds, etc. Overall, I didn't like what I found.

Since FFR is quite a gathering of artists who make their music by computer, I would like to know what are the best sites to get sounds from (Bass/Kick, Synth, Strings, Brass, you name it). I've already got findsounds.com and sounddogs.com. Are there any others?

Google for "kick samples", "percussion samples", etc. for drums.

Make everything else yourself using VSTIs.

It's always more fun to make your own instruments, that way you don't sound like plastic~

Also, unless you are getting into breakcore, avoid the amen break like the plague. It's in every song ever (the whole DBZ Tenkaichi 2 soundtrack uses it rofl).
put on a donk on it

So that when I recieve the full version of FL from my friend, I'll be able to make and edit sounds [On a wider scale]?

Don't be afraid to find some drum samples, then distort the living hell out of them, to make them "yours."

That's how Shark Attack came out so well.

One more thing about FL (I didn't have the patience to go through the help contents): Can you change time signatures at all? If not, I could still work with it, but it'd be much more convenient if I had a decent selection of time signatures.

I think you can change the beats per measure, and that effectively changes the time signature. Or you can snap your notes on the piano roll to 1/3rds and 1/6ths of beats for 3/4 time signatures.

                  Sounds perfect.

I'm most likely done asking questions, but I will post if I have anymore.

                  Thanks, fellas. I appreciate it.

                    Now I have a question:

What the hell is a VSTI?

EDIT: And while I'm at it, how do you reverse sounds? Thanks if anyone answers these.

                      Also, for reversing:
                      -Click on the channel.
-The option of reversing should be at the bottom.

Press F11 and then click on General. Should be self-explanatory from there.

                            Nice.

I think that 6/8 has more of that Jumpstyle feel to it. I seem to have found a good tweaking for the kick/bass as well = D.

Can't wait to get the full version.

Then you're taking the Basshunter route.
