I've seen a few concerts actually.

1. Gorillaz Live in New York City. Seriously, until I see Daft Punk in NYC this August, this will be the greatest concert I've ever attended. Damon Albarn live is something that must be witnessed if you are a fan of them. Also, seeing some of my favorite songs from Demon Days done live (Dennis Hopper came out for Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head!) it was a glorious night.

2. Dragonforce at Ozzfest 2006. Herman Lee's solos actually sound better when you can see how fast he shreds up close. Virginia Beach almost had a riot during their set.

I have more but you get the idea.

Alexisonfire delivers a great show, singing, screaming and intrument wise.
From Autumn To Ashes is incredible live, the singing is just wow.
Billy Talent is insane live, not a huge fan but do they ever put on a top notch show.

Children of Bodom was nice, for once they weren't too drunk (last night of their whole tour). Dragonforce was a nice live show but the music sucked (solos completely butchered, etc). Blind Guardian was amazing, although I wished the band members moved a bit more.

Wow, you are dumb if you think Herman Li is better live.
He SUCKS live.

Opeth, my bro went to an Opeth concert, and he said everything was perfect.

Yeah, he's intolerant to alcohol, so he can't be drunk all the time like Herman, amirite?

I've seen videos of Herman and he looks pretty sober to me. Also, he was sober during the Ozzfest concert last year. VB has a strict policy about alcohol consumption whther you are a concert-goer or performer.

EDIT: So you are saying he can only play like that when he's drunk? GG.

No, I'm saying he's an idiot. Yes, he plays good, but it seems he never does at the right time. On stage (and I've seen him live) he sucks, during video performances he sucks. On the record he's actually good, but his stuff is just fast, not complex. I find it rather insulting for a band to come on stage drunk and play like ****. It's like telling the crowd they're not even worth it.

Also, that argument does not really make sense at all.
I have seen some stuff live, and it sounds like mindless shredding.
Shredding cannot sound good, its impossible.
