This is sort of a dual thread concept. I just wanted to make a thread for to make people aware of some (possibly) very good albums coming out in the near future. In the same sense I was thinking people could post in this thread to talk about what new albums are coming out and why other people should buy them.
Ok, so on to what I plan on getting in the near future:
Kaipa - Angling Feelings
May 21, 2007

I am yet to listen to modern Kaipa. I have heard their 70's stuff and have an album but they broke up for 20 years before getting back together and making albums again. This will be my introduction to modern Kaipa and I recommend that if anyone wants to check out some awesome Swedish Prog-Rock then to try this.
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
May 21, 2007

Symphony X are yet to make a bad album and this should be no different, features 10 new tracks. No idea about track lengths but I expect there to be at least one epic (15+ minutes) song in there.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - In Glorious Times
May 29, 2007

Amazing band who are pretty unclassifiable. At some points they are insane and heavy metal with avante-garde tones and at other times they can switch to calm sweeping music. They use random instruments at times too. Also have two singers, a male and a female. Apparently the female gets more time on this album on their previous release, "Of Natural History". I own OFH and can safely say that it's an amazing album but it can take a lot of listens to get into. Took me about 6-7 listens before I started to like it. This album may not be any different, so expect to really dig deep into the music.
Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos
June 4th, 2007

It's Dream Theater. Need I say more. Well yes I suppose I need to. Leading off in the same direction that they started in Octavarium, this is their newest offering of probably awesome technical metal. I wasn't too fussed on Octavarium but their live album "Score" blew me away, so I'm still very tempted to give this album a listen.
So, there you go. Be sure to add these to your "to get" list and go ahead and start naming your own albums you want in the near future and why we should get them.
