How Do you Keep Homepads from Sliding?

hi there, recently bought Supernova for the PS2 and got one of those universial Gamestop pads to go with it. however, any time i play a song with more than a little bit of stream or jumps, the pad slides half-way across the room, sideways, or something which usually results in the game thinking i suck way worse than i do. help, please?

What I used to do before I got a metal pad was duct tape it to a piece of plywood and just put weights on the sides (as many as you can find).

And a lawnchair for a bar (perfect height/ shape).

Don't play on carpet if you can. The pads I have are cheap as hell (they don't even have the foam padding), but they don't slip on wood floors.

just what the other guys said. duct tape (i usually do all 4 corners) and a "DDR BAR" like chair.
