    SM Songs Cleanup

Today I was opening up SM and I realized how long it took for the files to load. My laptop I use is BRAND-NEW and I have ALOT of free-space and ram. When I entered the song select screen I realized how many packs I had and thought "How many of these packs do I actually use, and what are the ones I really want?" So I created this thread to ask you what are the song packs that EVERY sm song folder should contain, just the main ones. I have the obvious ones like CKMP1&2 and F5 but I have ALOT more packs that I use, especially pad packs which I use ALOT like Chaomix, Dancing W1p3out 1,2, and 3, BMR's Origionals and the official game packs like ITG1&2 and a few of the DDR MIxes mainly 8,7, and 6 with a few SuperNOVA files thrown in. So0o0 once again ... what should I do with all these packs to make room for better ones? I'm looking mainly for Keyboard packs which I don't have too many of ... maybe like 4 or 5, and to get rid of my infinite pad packs.

The packs everybody has, and what people usually play on SMO:

    Community Keyboard Megapack 1 (CKBMP1)
    Community Keyboard Megapack 2 (CKBMP2)
    Keyboard Collaboration I (KBCI)
    Keyboard Collaboration II (KBCII)
    Keyboard Collaboration III (KBCIII)
    Keyboard Megapack (KBMP)
    F4
    F5
    Puritanical Penis Pack (PPP)
Keys of Flames (KoF) (I guess)

I have all of those, and a bunch of folders for individual simfile artists. Then, I have a bunch of folders for random sims

Thanks infinity Rebirth but can you help me with my collection of pad packs? I don't know if your an expert on pad packs but maybe you can help from experience. I'm thinking of deleting the ITG1&2 and DDR packs because I own the console versions of both games ...

As far as pad packs go, download Simfile Revamp NOW. It's the best pad pack around. Besides that I can't think of any outstanding pad packs. That would be a start though, and hopefully more will be coming out to (simfile revamp 2 revamped?)

You only really need pad packs if you're actually going to play SM on pad. Unless you're really new to the game and can't pass anything but pad sims, but it sounds like you're a lot better than that.

I think the DDR and ITG packs are just things you would want if you like collecting simfiles. You don't need the DDR packs at all, unless there's a DDR Supernova pack. For the supernova songs. But all of the other DDR packs are years old and everybody knows about those.

ITG packs, I have, but I don't have them in my SM songs folder. They're nice to have if you want to look at the steps for a certain ITG song before you go play it on pad. So, I guess the ITG packs are alright.

          btw Simfile Revamp

I am disappointed by the lack of VGMP in this thread.

            GO GET THE VGMP ALREADY!!!!

I'll do what you do, move the pad packs out of the songs folder when playing keyboard songs and move the keyboard packs out of the song folder when playing pad songs.

BTW I'll check out Simfile Revamp this is definitly not the first time I heard of it but I never tries it out.

P.S. To the mods, sorry about the bump. I was a sucker and bought DDR Supernova PS2 AC and have been playing it ever since so basicly, I haven't been on FFR in few days.
