... their main argument for not picking him just went on the injured reserve.
So not only did the Texans not pick Reggie Bush first...

does anyone play the ffr fantasy football anymore?Originally posted by MCRenaissanceOffense is the best defense. Points win games, and Bush could've delivered really well for them.Comment

Apparently not because only 4 PEOPLE SHOWED UP FOR THE ****ING DRAFT GODDAMNIT
but theres no way Williams was the better pick. Defense wins championships, but uh Reggie Bush is possibly the greatest college player since Herschel Walker.

Except they already had Davis. In order for Bush to perform, he would've had to cut into Davis' production. He wouldn't have even been terribly useful as a returner because Jerome Mathis is scary fast.Originally posted by MCRenaissanceOffense is the best defense. In terms of the existing Houston roster, Williams was more of an upgrade at his position than Bush was at his, and thus Williams was the logical pick (although the most logical pick would've been Ferguson).I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.Comment

No. When they drafted Williams, they knew that Davis wasn't completely healthy and they knew he was going to have some problems.
If anything, they SHOULD have drafted Ferguson to help out their offensive line which has done nothing more than been a sieve since 2002. You HAVE to draft Bush because he's so ****ing electrifiying, and he'll sell tickets, and he makes the team better.

But he doesn't make the team better more than Williams does.
Davis will miss this year, sure, but he's only what, 25? 26? He'll still be with that organization for the better part of a decade.
Houston should almost be commended for not making the same mistake Atlanta did (drafting the ticket seller, Michael Vick, over the guy that would've done the team better, LaDanian Tomlinson), but they failed anyway when they didn't go with Ferguson.I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Re: So not only did the Texans not pick Reggie Bush first...
Of course Bush makes the team better than Williams does. Williams is a DEFENSIVE END. If he wants to be better than Bush would be to his team, he would have to register a hell of a lot of sacks and make an incredible amount of tackles. Bush doesn't need much of an offensive line to make plays, as he's shown already in the preseason against 1st team defenses.
