Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

The SCI FI Channel, Nash Entertainment (Meet My Folks, For Love or Money, Who Wants to Marry My Dad?), and legendary comic-book creator Stan Lee (Spider-man, Hulk, The Fantastic Four, X-Men) are the producers of this six-episode, one-hour weekly competition reality series that will challenge a lucky few to create their very own superhero and reward the winner with the best reality competition prize yet: immortality!

Each contestant begins with an original idea for a superhero, a self-made costume, and their best superhero mojo. From thousands of hopefuls, Stan Lee chooses the lucky finalists who move together into a secret lair. There they will begin their transformations — and their competition for the opportunity to become real-life superheroes. Over the course of the series, they will test their mettle, try to overcome their limitations, and do what it takes to prove that they truly are super.

The finalists will leave their former lives behind and live as their brainchild heroes 24/7, all under Stan Lee's watchful eye. Each week, our aspiring heroes will be challenged with competitions designed to test their true natures. No one will be leaping over tall buildings in a single bound; our superheroes will be tested for courage, integrity, self-sacrifice, compassion, and resourcefulness — all traits that every true superhero must possess.

In the end, only one aspiring superhero will have the inner strength and nobility to open the gates to comic-book immortality. The winner of this six-week competition will walk away with their character immortalized in a new comic book created by Stan Lee himself. And that's not all — the winning character will also appear in an original SCI FI Channel movie!

Our contestants don't have to love comic books to be the superheroes we're looking for, and you don't need to read comic-books to appreciate their struggle to become the best they can be. So tune in and see what drives these rare individuals who are willing to push themselves to their limits, and find out what motivates someone Who Wants to Be a Superhero!
I thought this show would be stupid as hell, but after seeing Episode 2, I was thoroughly satisfied. It's a magnificent show, and while most of the time I founnd myself laughing at how goofy they are, there were quite a few times when I really got into it and started rooting for them. The show has lots of surprising twists, the challenges are great, and the contestants are even greater (I freakin' loved the Iron Enforcer, and even moreso after seeing his new role), and Stan Lee makes the greatest reality show host. I highly reccomend this show as a must-watch, and let's hope the next person eliminated is Big Momma.

I was really disappointed with the Iron Enforcer's new role.

Villain is a good idea. They should have kept the costume pretty much the same though. I just like the idea of a bionic arm with a giant ass gun.

Yeah, his mask looks ****ty. They should have given his villain costume a voice changer too and made it so the other don't know it's him.

Major Victory, while being a little TOO "Boy Scout" for my liking, was the awesomest of those 3 by far. He always stepped up to the challenge and passed with too much difficulty (okay maybe not always), and while personality was nothing new, it was still very refreshing for some reason.

Re: Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

He sees the potential to show Human will and compassion in an obese, African-American woman. Simple as that. Stan Lee is known for showing Human triumph and diversity in his comics. Spiderman showed us that even the nerdiest of people can become "superheroes" and make the world a better place. Hell, X-Men even shows that the world is full of diverse and unique people and that we shouldn't judge them on how they look or what mutant powers they have; we're all human after all. (Daft Punk Reference ftw.)

That may be true but I dont think a comic with fat momma would sell well.
