I just got my wisdom teeth removed

This is horrible and I want to die.

All of my teeth were impacted and none had erupted.

    This = maximum pain.

My mouth is full of gauze and I'm actually at my mom's work. She's right next to me but I have to use MSN to talk to her.my whole face is frozen but it still hurts like HELL. I drooled a lot of blood on my shirt a few minutes ago and didn't notice it.

Somebody please tell me this will stop soon.

    Upade: No painkillers.

      Uber Update: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I really need some kind of pain killer.

Apparently my mom thought I only got two out. Turns out she's retarded.

I feel really badly for you. I've never had my teeth taken out, but when my cousin got a root canal (or something like that) I was sitting down the hall. He was screaming so badly.

As for a pain killer, I'm pretty sure that if you go to the pharmacy you can find something to help you out. Hope you feel better.

haha I had all four impacted and had no pain at all. I barely had to use any of my percocet.

That sucks. . don't they like numb your mouth so you don't feel the pain or anything? Did they do that? I dunno, but I'm scared to get mine taken out. . my mom told me it would straighten my teeth since they're a bit crooked. . I lost all my baby teeth a long time ago, probably when I was 8-10 years old or something, I had lost them all already. . Now my mom wants my wisdom teeth taken out. Ouch. I can relate to the pain you're going through. . I yanked my baby teeth out when I was a kid, but I haven't in so long, I kind of forgot how painful it is to get a tooth yanked out.

Sounds nasty. I've had loads of operations on my mouth and gums etc. When I was little I crashed into a wooden arm of a chair. My whole right side of my mouth went black. I spent 2 years in and out of dental hospital. I know the feeling man. It sucks harsh man.

Re: I just got my wisdom teeth removed

As a side note: The reason mine hurt so much was that they were impacted in such a way they they probably would never have erupted. So instead of having to pull the tooth out (which would have hurt infinitely less) they had to cut my gum open and pull out a stuck tooth then sow it back together. Four times.

So here's how the story went.

I got up early to go to work with my mom. She works in a dental office just down the steet from the place where they remove wisdom teeth. On fridays she is the only one there and she does administration work. I waited there until the appointment playing my DS and trying to sleep.

10:00 rolls around and we walk over. I sit and wait a few minutes and then they prep me for the surgery. They give me some O2 and tell me to relax and they put me to sleep via IV.

I wake up and my mouth didn't hurt at all. I was actually very relaxed because I was still feeling the effects of the anesthetic. My mom comes back and we walk back to her work. This is where the problems started...

My mom, being the super genious that she is, didn't think she needed to go and get the prescription filled for my painkillers while I was asleep at her work. So a few hours later I wake up and I see that I have been drooling blood for quite some time. I run to my mom's office and ask her where my painkillers are because it was starting to hurt LIKE HELL. She tells me she didn't get them yet. As the pain gets worse and worse, I get more and more angry at my mom. So she takes forever to finish what she's doing to go take me to the pharamacist. It was during this time that I made this thread on another computer there.

So, with the pain getting worse by the minute and still going through pad after pad of blood soaked gauze, she FINALLY is ready to leave. We go to the farthest pharmacy I know from her work because my aunt works there. Then she goes in and I'm sitting in the boiling hot car. The pain got so bad that I actually tried to use different kinds of meditation to shut it out. But after 20 minutes of that, I gave up. I called my mom and asked here wtf was going on. Apparently it takes the ****ing pharmacist 20-30 minutes to COUNT the number of pills I get. After hearing this I started crying.

You get some strange looks when you're in the parking lot of a grocery store and you have blood soaked gauze pads all over your lap and in you mouth and you're crying.

After what seemed like AN ETERNITY my aunt comes out and gives me a bottle of orange juice. Needless to say that didn't help. Then finally my mom comes out with the pills (This is about 40 minutes later). I devour one and try to focus of the fact that the pain should be subsiding.

I closed my eyes on the whole ride home and staggered up to my room when we arrived. I had to lie so perfectly still or my mouth would start bleeding like crazy.

I can't chew, open, close my mouth or swallow without it hurting. I kept slipping in and out of consciousness and all I had to eat was chicken broth and broken bits of a popsicle. Niether of which I could feed to myself.

Wow, just now the stitching on the left side of my mouth broke apart so now I can open it slightly. Although I taste blood again. Brb, finish story after.

Re: I just got my wisdom teeth removed

That's normally how wisdom teeth get removed :\ .... before they puncture the gums.

When I had my 3 removed I already had left-over Tylenol 3's from a previous endevor so I wasn't too bad in terms of pain.

However, when I woke up from the procedure, and got driven home I instantly fell into bed and woke up 1 hour later. Considering the fact that I'm hypoglycemic and I still haven't eaten anything in about 18 hours I got up from my bed, and the severe ataxia kicked in and I fell over and passed out just as I was coming out of my room. I later woke up in my bed with my mom beside me with a meal replacement shake and that seemed to help very quickly.

Wisdom teeth... it's some messed up shiiiiiaatttt

On a side note, hypoglycemia is really REALLY not fun to have.
