    It's time to buy IIDX Red

    but i need to mod my ps2 first.

    can anyone give me some tips where to take it or whatever? cost? etc...


    Also, i found this. anyone know if this really works or if theres any downsides? it's only 25 bucks.

      Buy one of the combo deals with SwapMagic. I'd advise buying the default color because the other ones usually won't ever arrive.

      From there, just install the fliptop. It's very easy and shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Once you've got it installed, put SwapMagic in (DVD for a DVD game, CD for a CD game) and let it load. Once that's done, pop open the top, take out SwapMagic, put in the burned/imported game you want to play, close the top, and hit X. Voila.

      I'd advise against anything except SwapMagic + fliptop or a modchip.

      If you know how to install a modchip (i.e., soldering), go with that instead. It's a lot less hassle, as you can just put a game in and have it play. A modchip will play burned/imported PSX games as well, something SwapMagic can't do.

          I can show you how to mod your ps2 if you have aslim one with just duct tape.

          You'd still have to buy Swap Magic, but eh, live with it.
