I was just wonering if anyone else has seen this movie. I saw it on friday and I personally thought it was a great movie. It was kinda slow in the beginning but after about the first half an hour to fourty five minutes the movie really picked up. It was alot bloodier and more gorey than I thought it was going to be which is a plus. The ending of the movie was great. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a great horror moive.

Make sure to sit through the credits, so you can hear Theme of Laura when it plays at the end.Comment

Moogy, did you like the movie? I'm planning on seeing it tonight."A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

Re: Silent hill
Funny, I thought this movie would be just like Doom: a horrible movie that was first based on a video game. Now I stand corrected.
Now if you don't mind, I would be adding this onto my list of good video game movies *adds Silent Hill right by FFVII: AC*

Re: Silent hill
It's not incredibly scary, but there are several disturbing and intense moments."A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

Re: Silent hill
It's not scary in the sense that something unidentifiable is coming to get the main character, and fast. It's more intense, shocking moments. I really do enjoy horror films like these. The cinematography is the one thing everyone is talking about with this movie and it is incredible. Pyramid head was a plus.Comment

Re: Silent hill
from my ljOriginally posted by MoogySilent Hill was a great movie. I didn't like the way it deviated from the game, however; it was obviously based on the first one, but y helo thar Mr. Pyramid Head. I mean, sure, it was cool seeing Pyramid Head, but he made no sense in the context of the movie. The ending was also pretty weird, although it made sense in context of the games. Well, not the big spider mecha tentacle thing of doom. The part after that. The big thing at the end with the church was just dumb.
Other than those complaints, however, I highly enjoyed it. Definitely the best video game movie ever made.
And hearing all the classic music just made my day. Theme of Laura in a theater was AWESOME. Too bad they didn't credit Akira Yamaoka anywhere, though. That's my only other complaint. Maybe he just didn't want to be credited or something?
But yeah, I'll give it a 4.5/5. Too bad a lot of parts don't make sense unless you've played the games; I had to explain a lot of it to my dad.Comment
