It is supposed to be written on Duke Ellington and the requirements are as follows:
1) Covers his importance in the 1920s
2) What he did in his life
3) How his music influenced people
4) Why his music was so influencial
5) general stuff about him
Body of paper:
1) Title centered two spaces under the heading and right above the first paragraph.
2) Thesis statement is clear.
3) Topic is covered adequately.
4)Writing includes supporting facts and examples.
5)Organization is logical.
6)Direct quotations are no more than 1-% of the paper.
7)Spelling is flawless.
8)Grammar is correct.
9)Punctuation is accurate.
10)Paper is 3-4 pages.
11)Margins are 1 inch.
12)Font is 12 point.
13)Paper is double spaced.
14)Pages after the first page are numberes in the upper right-hand corner.
Parenthetical citations:
1)Ideas or information not originating from your own mind are cited.
2)Citations follow MLA formatting.
Works cited page:
1)Page is labeled "Works Cited".
2)Entries are formatted according to MLA standards.
3)All works cited in the paper body have an entry in the works cited page.
4)Has a minimum of 3 sources.
5)At least one source is a book. (I have this one covered)
