    The Official Names of Every Double and Triple

    Under mandate of the secret internet lords and not the secret conclave that doesn't rule them, the compendium you see before you is now STEPMANIA LAW. Anyone who refers to any double or triple by its improper name will be KILLED and banned from FFR.

    -6 Doubles-

    <- -> | Left, Right - Tonic Double

    The most used of all doubles, the Tonic Double represents many things. As in music theory, it may be the roots of the steps, the beginning, the foundation, a new section or a return. The Tonic Double may be used as a transitive pattern, or accompanying a melodic or percussive sound. It is somewhat synergous with jackhammers.

    v ^ | Down, Up - Diminished Double

    The Diminished Double is the opposite of Tonic Doubles. It has no roots. It is always used for transitive patterns or accompanying sounds. It is most useful as a precursor for certain triples, and is the second best alternative for snare drums. It is not synergous with jackhammers.

    <- v | Left, Down - Bass Double

    The Bass Double often represents either a bass drum hit or simply a bass note. It may also, as the Tonic Double, represent a starting point, repeat, or return. It is not very useful as a common transitive pattern as it creates unbalance. It is not very useful for accompanying (melodic) sound. It is not synergous with jackhammers.

    ^ -> | Up, Right - Snare Double

    The Snare Doubles are of course used to accompany snare drums (where doing so does not create a jackhammer). It may be employed to accompany melodic sounds or high chords. It is not very useful as a transitive pattern as it creates unbalance. It is most synergous with jackhammers.

    <- ^ | Left, Up - Epsilon Double

    The Epsilon double is a "leading double", meaning it has a tendency to resolve itself into another double. This causes the Epsilon Double to be one of the most useful transitive doubles as it retains step balance and creates opportunity and hope. It is useful for accompanying harmony. It is not at all synergous with jackhammers.

    v -> | Down, Right - Nu Double

    This double is shrouded in mystery. It is rumored to represent the futility of war.

    -4 Triples-

    <- ^ -> | Left, Up, Right - Power Triple

    This Triple is a combination of the Tonic and Snare doubles. It is the most natural of all triples. It is most useful as an all-purpose double for hits, combinations of sounds, beginnings and endings. It is useful for consonant chords. It represents the power of God over Satan. It is synergous with jackhammers.

    <- v -> | Left, Down, Right - Sustained Triple

    This triple is a combination of the Tonic and Bass doubles. It is the second most natural of all triples. It is useful for accompanying harmonies and as an alternative to the Power Double. It represents continuation and the power of man over beast.

    <- v ^ | Left, Down, Up - Schwarzgeist Triple

    This triple is a combination of the Bass and Diminished doubles. It is useful as a release for the Augmented Triple, and transitively. It represents an end, death, and autumn.

    v ^ -> | Down, Up, Right - Augmented Triple

    This triple is a comination of the Diminished and Snare triple. It is used to accompany dissonance. It can be used as a release for the Schwarzgeist Triple or transitively. It represents perpetual motion, irregularity, change, and the will to survive against all odds.

    <- v ^ -> | All - THOR, GOD OF THUNDER

    THOR is a combination of over 600 minor angles stemming from early sudanese culture.

                        Id really like to see someone try and make a stepfile following this information. Why not write some rules for the single arrow directions to.

                          You don't need the - on the -> and <- man, < and > is fine, to make the internets even more great.
