              Buzz (www.buzzmachines.com) for making MP3s from scratch, and Audacity (www.google.com) for changing the length of MP3s.

                          My friend uses http://www.modplug.com but god it's hard to use. It took me 3 days to make any sound beyond the samples.

                              I agree with SpookG. Buzz is not only the easiest prog to use (Fruityloops doesn't even have an online manual wtf is with that?), it also produces the coolest sounds IMO.
