    Pi

Pi is an amazing movie. Let me start by saying it is filmed in Black and White. It's not old, it was filmed like that for dramatic effect. The main character is an obsessive mathematician named Max. The story is about his search for the pattern behind the stock market, and then his gradual descent into insanity. Seriously, this movie is amazing. And it has about the greatest soundtrack ever for a movie. Autechre and Aphex Twin and the like. It's title is actually the numerical symbol for pi, but I really have no idea how to make that symbol on a forum.

One piece of advice... do not watch this movie on a computer with headphones. In fact, don't watch this movie with headphones... period. If you've seen the movie, you understand.

Watching this movie with headphones nearly drove ME insane. Apart from that, very interesting movie.
    RIP

Saw this movie a couple of times, quite a few years ago. Thanks for reminding me, I'll have to rent it this weekend.
I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish.
      Done, and done.

        I did both.

The movie was MEH. Didnt care too much for it. I dont remember the soundtrack featuring Aphex Twin....I mustn't have been paying too much attention.

          pi is alt 227 π

the movie is ok... it tries too hard to be deeper than it is.

the soundtrack does have bucephalus bouncing ball on there but it only shows up briefly in the movie I think, and it's only like the ambient hard to notice part. The autechre song is higly sampled though, as well as, obviously, Clint Mansell's two pieces, one of which, 2πR I stepped.

Clint Mansell's work is pretty good. I really liked the soundtrack for Reqium for a Dream.

Also, I rented this movie initially because of bucephalus bouncing ball. It was like my favorite Aphex Twin song for awhile, and I heard the vocals were from this movie.
