Since I didn't win the contest, I decided to go ahead and release this to the public. This was my entry, using squares and the whatnot to give it an NES feel. I never really liked the vocal samples, so I just kinda chopped them up into little pieces. I'm not entirely sure if I like them there or not, I'd rather have others tell me how they feel about them.

Honestly, I do not believe that this could be handled any better in this style. This is the epitome of the remix in the style of NES genre. There can be no remix in the style of NES that is better than this.
PS If this didn't win, then the one that did win better be damn-ass awesome.

I, too, had trouble with the vocals when I tried to remix the song (probably since I beatmatch the song at 150 bpm ugh). You're solution was alright...but I personally found it annoying. Good remix though.

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
