This show is finally getting some subbing, and boy am I thankful. It's funny in the same wacky vein that FLCL is funny, except it doesn't have any sort of symbolism so you can just sit back and not think about the meaning of anything.
Our main character is Rebecca Miyamoto, an 11-year-old graduate of M.I.T. (apparently the Japanese know of places in the Eastern USA that aren't New York o_O) that's teaching a bunch of Japanese first-graders (a la Mahou Sensei Negima except this class is mixed). Of course, all the important characters are incredibly dysfunctional, as are the teacher and kids in the neighboring class 1-D, who don't get quite as much attention but are equally crazy (Miyuki Sawashiro's character in particular).
If you like complete zaniness and 11-year-olds flipping you off, then this is the series for you. Bear in mind only two episodes have been subbed so far though.
